Yoro confident United can chase Premier League title
Leny Yoro believes that Manchester United can win with Premier League this season. That confidence comes despite the club's welk-documented struggles for form since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement 13 years ago.
The legendary Scottish manager earned 13 top-flight titles before bringing the curtain down on a remarkable coaching career in 2013. Since then, United have been through seven permanent managers as they have struggled to bring glory back to Old Trafford.
While the club has found success in various cup competitions in the wake of Fergie's exit, no man has been able to restore Premier League glory. David Moyes scraped a Community Shield in his lacklustre one-year stint with United, while Louis van Gaal saw success in the FA Cup.
Jose Mourinho bolstered the Old Trafford silverware collection with a Europa League, an FA Cup and a League Cup across his two-year reign, while Erik ten Hag guided United to both a League Cup and FA Cup triumph during his tenure.
Notably, it was only Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ruben Amorim who departed the club empty-handed, leaving behind nothing more than a mixture of fond and forgettable memories from their respective stints in Greater Manchester.
And despite Amorim overseeing a humiliating 15th-place finish in 2024/25, Yoro remains convinced that the tide is turning, with the club setting its sights on ending a 13-year Premier League drought.

“The mood is really good. We work really hard, and outside the pitch, we have a good vibe, good mood.
“So the target this season is to win every game, to be honest. For the team to be the best, for myself to do good games every time, to win trophies, and to be at the top.”
Michael Carrick has proven to be a real shot in the arm since walking through the doors at Old Trafford in January, initially stepping in as caretaker boss until the end of the campaign. Guiding the club to a third-place Premier League finish after picking up the pieces left by Amorim was enough to earn him the job on a permanent basis this summer.
Reflecting on the challenge ahead, the 44-year-old said:

“Carrying the responsibility of leading our special football club fills me with immense pride. Throughout the past five months, this group of players have shown they can reach the standards of resilience, togetherness and determination that we demand here.
“Now it's time to move forward together again, with ambition and a clear sense of purpose. Manchester United and our incredible supporters deserve to be challenging for the biggest honours again.”
