Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron will step on the scales ahead of their blockbuster super-welterweight unification clash on Saturday night in Birmingham, with the weigh-in available to watch for free.
The pair will contest all three world titles in a 10-round bout at bp pulse LIVE, with the event branded as MVPW-06. Cameron, the WBO super welterweight world champion from the UK, holds a 22-1 record with 8 knockouts. Mayer, representing the USA and holding the unified WBA and WBC super welterweight world titles, comes in at 22-2 with 5 knockouts.
The main event has been contracted at a 148-pound catchweight, according to reports, rather than a full title-limit bout. The card streams live on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the U.S.
Cameron arrives in excellent form following an April unanimous decision victory over Michaela Kotaskova. The Birmingham fighter also boasts a significant scalp on her record: she inflicted the sole career defeat on the resume of the great Katie Taylor in May 2023.
Mayer last competed in October 2025, when she defeated Mary Spencer via unanimous decision. That victory came on the back of successive wins over Sandy Ryan.
The rivalry between these two fighters has been building steadily. Their first press conference earlier in the summer generated significant interest, and Cameron has backed herself to deliver a career-best performance, insisting her American rival lacks the quality to stop her.
Supporting title fights and expanded undercard
The bill represents far more than just the main event. In the chief support bout, unified WBC and WBO lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois will face former US Olympian Amelia Moore in another title defence.
Three-weight world champion Terri Harper also features on the card, making her return against Miranda Reyes at super-welterweight. The two world title fights between Mayer and Cameron and Dubois and Moore mark the most significant women's boxing card held in Birmingham in recent history.
The undercard has been expanded with additional bouts. Reina Tellez will face Jessica Barry on the MVP UK vs USA event. The full undercard also includes Tysie Gallagher versus Brandi Robinson, Shannon Courtenay against Ebonie Cotton, and Gemma Richardson facing Kirstie Bavington.
