How The Sports Pulse selects, writes and publishes the sports news you read here.

Where our sports news comes from

The Sports Pulse is a news aggregation and summarisation service. We do not carry out original reporting: we have no reporters at matches, no press-box accreditation and no contacts inside clubs. Every story on this site begins with a report published by an established sports news organisation — principally Mirror Sport and Sky Sports — which we access through their public news feeds. Each article we publish carries a link back to the original report, and that original report is always the authoritative version.

How our articles are written

Our articles are written by an automated system that uses artificial intelligence to summarise and rewrite the source report in our own words. The process runs continuously and articles are published automatically, without an individual editor reviewing each one before it goes live. We are telling you this plainly because we think readers are entitled to know how the words in front of them were produced.

What we do not do

• Original reporting: We do not attend matches, interview players or managers, or cultivate sources inside clubs.
• Live scores and results: We are not a live scores service. Anything time-sensitive should be checked against the source or an official league feed.
• Transfer speculation of our own: We do not originate transfer rumours. Where we cover one, we are relaying what another outlet has reported and we say who.
• Tipping or betting advice: Nothing on this site is betting advice, and we do not publish paid content dressed up as news.

Accuracy and its limits

Automated summarisation can introduce errors, and sport is unusually easy to get wrong: a scoreline, a squad number, a minute of injury time or the difference between a confirmed transfer and a reported approach. A rewritten sentence can lose the qualifier that made a claim accurate. This is why every article links to its source and why we ask readers to treat the original report as definitive on any point of detail. If you believe something we have published is wrong, please tell us.

The automated checks we do run

• Source availability: We check that the original report is still live. If a source is withdrawn, the article based on it is hidden from the site.
• Duplicate detection: When two outlets cover the same fixture or transfer hours apart, we detect the overlap and avoid publishing the story twice.
• Content review: Articles that are old and have attracted no readership are archived, so that the site is not padded with pages that serve no one.

Who is responsible

Editorial responsibility for everything published on this site rests with The Sports Pulse. Because our articles are produced by an automated system rather than by a named journalist, they are attributed to The Sports Pulse Editorial Team. We do not invent bylines or attribute articles to people who do not exist.
