Shearer returns for family wedding
Alan Shearer had to rush back from the World Cup to watch daughter Hollie marry her rugby-playing partner. The ex-Newcastle star's second-oldest child tied the knot with England star Joe Marchant in Winchester.

The pair got engaged in November 2024 having dated for two years. Hollie then moved to France with her beau when Marchant signed for Stade Francais. Shearer had been on co-commentary duties for the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina last weekend. He swiftly returned to the UK to join the celebrations at the Royal Oak in Winchester.
The wedding party enjoyed the festivities in The Royal Oak pub, which was built in 1002.

Pictures from the celebration
The Premier League all-time goalscorer shared pictures of Hollie and Joe becoming husband and wife. One snap showed the grinning bride holding her ring up in celebration as her partner signed the documents to make their marriage official.

Another picture, originally posted by Shearer's other daughter Chloe, captured the newlyweds dancing together after they said 'I do.'
Earlier this year, Hollie hinted at the upcoming nuptials by posting her hen do on Instagram. At the time, the bride-to-be donned a white cut-out dress and bikini as she prepared to marry the rugby star.
The outfit choice that stood out to her Instagram followers was a see-through skirt that had 'Mrs Marchant' printed across the back.
With the marriage now confirmed, the loved-up pair will likely jet off on honeymoon as Shearer prepares for another Premier League season as a fan-favourite pundit.
