Fans back Arsenal again for 2026/27 title race
Premier League fans are hard at work casting their predictions for who will come out on top of the 2026/27 title race. But Manchester United and Liverpool remain outside picks for the crown despite major changes this summer.
Michael Carrick has been handed the permanent reins at Old Trafford, while Andoni Iraola has replaced Arne Slot at Anfield. Manchester City also reached the end of an era after Pep Guardiola concluded his 10-year tenure at the Etihad, with Enzo Maresca named his successor.
However, punters are largely going with consistency above all else as Arsenal have emerged as the public's favourite to retain their crown. Mikel Arteta's men finally ended a 22-year search for another league title last season.
According to wagers taken by bet365 up until now, the Gunners account for 34.4 per cent of all outright title-winner odds placed. That's perhaps to be expected given Arteta's side are the outright favourites to retain the trophy at odds of 6/4.

City, United and Liverpool trail in the betting
Maresca, meanwhile, is tipped by 23.4 per cent of punters to pick up Guardiola's mantle and win the title in his first season. City offer a good deal more value at odds of 11/4 as things stand.
City have broken the bank to acquire Elliot Anderson in a £116million move that just fell short of the British transfer record. However, club veterans Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Nathan Ake have departed, while Manuel Akanji has joined Inter Milan on a permanent deal after spending last season on loan at the San Siro.
Somewhat surprisingly, 6/1 United come in third with 13.8 per cent of wagers to claim the crown in Carrick's first full season as manager. The Red Devils have been busy in the market already having added Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to their midfield after a third-place finish last term.
Liverpool are at shorter odds of 5/1 but are currently ranked third as they account for 8.9 per cent of bet365 title bets. And there's a hair's breadth between them and 9/1 Chelsea with 8.6 per cent as Xabi Alonso looks to make his mark in the Premier League.
Spurs, Villa and Coventry also attract support
Despite only just avoiding relegation to the Championship last term, Roberto De Zerbi's Tottenham have been backed by 4.3 per cent of bettors. That's likely thanks to much more appealing odds of 20/1, though their £237m transfer market spree, adding Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andrew Robertson and Marcos Senesi to their ranks, will have helped.
Annoyingly for Aston Villa fans, they rank below rivals Coventry City in the betting despite placing fourth last season. Unai Emery's men account for just 1.3 per cent of the title bet spread at 33/1, while 2,000/1 outsiders Coventry have taken 1.4 per cent of bets after Frank Lampard's promotion to the top flight.
