Arsenal's title-winning rebuild
How do you improve a title-winning team? That's the question facing Arsenal in the summer transfer window. The Gunners have already made two signings, welcoming goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer before splashing out £34million on winger Christos Tzolis. But they aren't stopping are. Arsenal are readying a £70m offer for Bruno Guimaraes, having agreed personal terms with the midfielder who's keen to join.
However, it'd almost certainly take a much higher fee for Newcastle to let go of another key player after the sales of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and Sandro Tonali to Tottenham. And Guimaraes isn't Arsenal's only high-profile target. Mikel Arteta has been after Julian Alvarez for months, with Atletico Madrid reportedly demanding north of £120m after rejecting bids from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Gunners are also looking to strengthen in defence, and it wouldn't be a summer window without Arsenal signing a centre-back who can play at full-back. Free agent John Stones and Aston Villa ace Ezri Konsa have been linked this week, while Newcastle's Tino Livramento is a long-term target.
Arsenal's recruitment drive would, of course, lead to outgoings. The biggest name tipped for the exit door is Viktor Gyokeres, who could be used in a player-plus-cash deal for Alvarez. Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Martinelli have also been linked with departures. Leandro Trossard left the Emirates last week to join Turkish giants Besiktas in a £15.3m deal.

Arsenal's dream XI
In Arsenal's dream XI, David Raya would no-doubt keep his place in goal, with Livramento, William Saliba (once he returns from injury), Gabriel Magalhaes and Piero Hincapie making up the back four.
In midfield, Declan Rice would have a new partner in Guimaraes while Martin Odegaard plays as the No.10. Out wide, Bukayo Saka and Tzolis are in pole position to potentially flank Alvarez - or Ollie Watkins, who emerged as a target on Friday.
But after missing out on Morgan Rogers to Chelsea, there's speculation that Arsenal could turn to Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. But if we're talking dreams, Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz is reportedly Arteta's ideal signing and can offer versatility in attack. Eberechi Eze is another option on the left-hand side, having cost up to £67.5m last summer.
Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke has confirmed the club won't stand still after ending their 22-year wait to win the Premier League.
"When you win something, the sun's still going to come up the next day," Kroenke explained in May.
"You've got to get back to work and there are many teams trying to gain on you, including some historically great ones around the Premier League. We're going to look to strengthen because we know teams around us are going to get better. If you're not trying to continually evolve and improve, you're standing still."
