Liverpool eye another deal with PSG
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have a long history of getting deals done in the transfer market. And this working relationship could be strengthened if the Reds convince Bradley Barcola to head to Anfield.
The club are set to open talks with PSG over a potential transfer for the winger. Initial talks with Barcola's representatives have prompted Liverpool to formalise their interest with an official approach.
Andoni Iraola has been on the lookout for a wide player since Mohamed Salah's exit. Barcola has been on Liverpool's radar for some time, and the club will hope to make him their third summer signing.
Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet have signed deals at Anfield, but there's certain to be more movement – both incoming and outgoing – before the new season starts. If Barcola does decide to join Liverpool, it wouldn't represent the first time that a transfer between the two clubs has taken place.

David Ngog, Nicolas Anelka and Mamadou Sakho among the past links
David Ngog signed his first professional contract with PSG in 2006 as a highly-rated teenager. Two years later, he arrived at Anfield as a fresh-faced 19-year-old under Rafael Benitez. The striker would play under three different managers at Liverpool, including Roy Hodgson and Sir Kenny Dalglish.
Ngog scored 19 goals and assisted six times across 94 appearances before leaving for Bolton Wanderers in 2011. Despite such a promising start to his career, Ngog really failed to reach the heights his early days promised. He later played for Swansea City, Reims, Panionios, Ross County and Budapest Honved before retiring in Lithuania at the age of 31.
Nicolas Anelka had already played in the Premier League before joining Liverpool on loan in 2001. The striker left PSG for Arsenal at 17 and made 42 goal contributions from 1997 to 1999. A move to Real Madrid came next before Anelka returned to France a year later. PSG then loaned the striker to Liverpool in the 2001 January transfer window.
The France international made 22 appearances for the Reds and scored five goals, helping the team to a second-placed finish in the Premier League. Gerard Houllier opted against giving Anelka a permanent deal at Liverpool and he ended up at Manchester City. He came back to haunt the Reds after scoring a brace in a 2-1 win over them in May 2003. Throughout his career, Anelka scored 223 goals for club and country, winning two Champions League titles and the European Championship with France.
Mamadou Sakho had already made 201 appearances for PSG before his £18million move to Liverpool in 2013. The defender had won the Ligue 1 title just weeks before he joined the Reds, bringing a wealth of experience to Brendan Rodgers' side.
Sakho would go on to make 80 appearances for Liverpool, scoring three goals and continuing his time at Anfield after Rodgers was sacked in 2016. Jurgen Klopp kept the centre-half around for a half a season before Crystal Palace signed him on loan. After an impressive temporary spell, Sakho would sign a permanent move to Palace in 2017 for a fee of £26m. He would go on to have stints at Montpellier and Torpedo Kutaisi before retiring in January this year at 35.
