Liverpool push for more transfer business
Liverpool will be eager to ramp up their transfer business as the new Premier League season edges closer. The Reds will face Monaco in a friendly at Anfield this weekend, having recently completed a pre-season tour of the USA.
The Anfield outfit finally welcomed new signing Victor Munoz to the club this week, after he signed from Osasuna earlier in the summer. The Spanish winger and French centre-back Jeremy Jacquet are the only new faces at the Reds so far this pre-season, with Liverpool in need of more reinforcements.
Much has been made of the club's chase of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the European champions said to be demanding a huge fee from the Reds. Today's news sees PSG's latest stance on Barcola's price tag emerge, while a World Cup star reportedly agrees to a move to Paris.
PSG are reportedly insisting on raking in a staggering £128million for Barcola this summer, according to L'Equipe. The substantial price tag is believed to be the reason a transfer to Liverpool has failed to materialise so far, but it is less than the initial £145m that the French side were originally quoted as wanting for the player.

It's believed that the Reds would prefer to pay around £103m for the winger with Barcola said to be open to the move. The BBC say Liverpool are preparing to change their stance and up their offer to get the deal over the line, while L'Equipe says that, while the two clubs are
