Rosberg says Hamilton stands above Schumacher
Nico Rosberg believes Lewis Hamilton is the greatest-ever Formula 1 driver, even after competing alongside the iconic Michael Schumacher. The 41-year-old raced with Schumacher between 2010 and 2012 as he made a comeback to the track with Mercedes. Hamilton replaced the German when he retired for good, and his hugely successful career on the track ever since has kick-started a debate as to which of the two drivers has made the biggest impact on the sport.
Rosberg spent two extra years with the British driver and has followed his career since he left F1 in 2016. The ex-Mercedes star spoke to Sky Sports Germany after the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix as he watched Hamilton soar to his record-extending 106th career win. This was the Brit's first win since he joined Ferrari in 2025 and Rosberg had nothing but praise for his former teammate.

Presenter Peter Hardenacke noted that Rosberg made this huge statement while standing next to Michael's brother, Ralf Schumacher. After it was pointed out, the 41-year-old joked that he was merely trying to create a wedge between the two pundits.
