According to Racing Post, Enoch heads the market as the betting favourite at 4/5 in what is shaping as a competitive contest. The race, worth £5,400 to the winner with £10,000 guaranteed prize money, features seven declared runners over one mile one yard on Lingfield's Polytrack surface.
Andrew Balding's Black Chiffon represents a genuine threat to Enoch's unbeaten run. The filly broke her maiden at Salisbury before finishing fourth at Kempton, arriving at Lingfield with a rating of 85. Rob Horny takes the ride and her recent fitness could prove advantageous in this contest.
Colonnade rounds out the main contenders, having acquitted himself creditably in both starts to date and appearing capable of securing a placing in this field.
Blue Hercules seeks maiden success at Ffos Las
The BNI Elli Maiden Stakes at Ffos Las sees 86-rated Blue Hercules take on five rivals in his bid to break his duck. Trained by William Muir and Chris Grassick, the gelding has demonstrated considerable ability across six outings without finding the winner's enclosure, but this assignment appears tailored to his capabilities under Lewis Edmunds. Should he reproduce the form he showed recently at Ascot, he could prove difficult to oppose.
Neswick, who finished third on her racecourse debut in April, returned from a break to run fourth at Lingfield earlier this month and should improve with that outing under her belt. Obsessedwithyou has featured in the first two in seven of her last seven outings and appears primed for another strong performance back over the fences.
