Across the Atlantic, American racing enters a new era as Belmont Park reopens with Forever Young set to headline the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup. According to NYRA, Forever Young is the reigning Japanese Horse of the Year and Eclipse Award Champion Older Dirt Male.
With Sovereignty ruled out as a non-runner, Forever Young emerges as the class act in the field. The colt's recent campaign included a victory over Nysos in the Saudi Cup on his return to action, followed by a defeat to Magnitude in the Dubai World Cup. Should he retain his peak form, he will be difficult to oppose.
Bill Mott's Baeza disappointed when beaten by six lengths in the Whitney Stakes last time out. If the runner has rediscovered his best form, he could mount a challenge to the market leader. Newton Abbot and the jumps card
