England Women have locked in a white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, with a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series scheduled to take place across February and March 2027. According to Sky Sports, the tour has been strategically positioned either side of the ICC Women's Champions Trophy in India.
The T20I series will run in early February, with matches scheduled for 1st, 3rd and 5th February, all taking place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The ODI leg follows after the Champions Trophy concludes, with fixtures on 4th, 6th and 8th March at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
Alongside the white-ball commitments, England Women will conduct a red-ball training camp in India during January. Squad selections for these tours are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Charlotte Edwards' side arrives in Sri Lanka on the back of an impressive performance, having completed a clean sweep of the recent ODI series against the same opposition. The final match of that series saw Sophia Dunkley produce a standout display, striking her second international century to cap off the 3-0 victory.
England will be seeking to improve on their recent T20 World Cup campaign, where they finished as runners-up at the tournament held on home soil. The team suffered a heavy defeat to Australia in the final at Lord's, a result that will serve as motivation for the upcoming tour.
