Strong form heading into the tour

England arrive at the Sri Lanka fixtures in excellent shape after dismantling Sri Lanka 3-0 in their recent ODI series. Sophia Dunkley was among the standout performers, striking her second international century in the final match of that sweep to underline her growing importance to the side.

Charlotte Edwards' squad will be targeting redemption after their runners-up finish at the home T20 World Cup, where they suffered a heavy defeat to Australia in the final at Lord's. The upcoming tour offers an opportunity to build momentum ahead of the Champions Trophy and continue their development in both formats.

Tour schedule and venues

The T20I series will be held in Kandy, with matches scheduled for 1st February, 3rd February and 5th February 2027. The ODI series will follow in Dambulla, with fixtures on 4th March, 6th March and 8th March 2027.

The red-ball training camp in India during January will give players valuable preparation time ahead of the white-ball commitments, with the squad selection process set to begin shortly.
