Schumacher family share baby news
The Schumacher family have shared a heartwarming update with the news that they are set to welcome a new arrival.
Racing driver David Schumacher, nephew of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael and son of six-time F1 race-winner Ralf, has revealed he and his wife, Vivien, are expecting their first baby.
David has been together with Vivien, herself a former racing driver who competed in the W Series and at Formula 3 level in 2019 under her maiden name, Vivien Keszthelyi, for several years. It was in February this year that they announced they had tied the knot. Sharing three pictures from the ceremony, they said they had married
"surrounded by the love of our family and closest friends".
And now they have even more wonderful news to announce.
Sharing a photograph of a mirror, capturing themselves sharing a kiss against a stunning mountain backdrop, alongside a blanket, baby booties and a teddy bear, David and Vivien revealed they are expecting.
"Love made us two, life is making us three,"
read the caption alongside the image on Instagram.
Within moments, the comments section was flooded with messages of love and congratulations, their combined following of over 150,000 fans sending their best wishes to them and their expanding family.

Amongst those congratulating them was Davina Geiss of the Geiss family of German reality TV fame, who are close friends with the expectant couple.
The joyful announcement comes just two months after David's father, Ralf, wed his partner Etienne in Saint-Tropez. That ceremony took place less than two years after Ralf became arguably the most high-profile F1 driver ever to come out as gay, when he confirmed he was in a same-sex relationship with Etienne, who is 14 years his junior.
Ralf was previously married to David's mother, Cora, though the couple parted ways in 2014. Their relationship remained strained for many years, yet she publicly offered her congratulations to Ralf and Etienne on their nuptials.
"Steven [her new partner] and I wish Ralf and Etienne all the best and much happiness,"
Cora said.
Ralf claimed six F1 victories throughout his career but was largely overshadowed by his seven-time world champion brother, Michael.
The entire family has fiercely guarded their privacy for over a decade since Michael sustained life-altering injuries in a skiing accident in December 2013. Very little remains known about his current condition, other than that he continues to require round-the-clock care from both his family and a dedicated team of nurses.
He is thought to spend the majority of his time at the Schumacher family home on the banks of Lake Geneva, Switzerland, though the family also own a lavish villa in Mallorca and a ranch in Texas, USA.
Michael Schumacher’s legacy remains a constant reference point whenever the family name returns to the spotlight, and the latest announcement adds another personal milestone to the wider Schumacher story.
