Sky Sports Racing viewers are in for a treat as Chepstow, Lingfield and Wolverhampton all stage live meetings, with plenty of intriguing clashes across the three tracks.
According to the BHA fixture list, all three fixtures fall on 18 August 2026, with Lingfield running in the afternoon, Chepstow also in the afternoon, and Wolverhampton taking centre stage in the evening. The BHA confirms this is a Flat racing day, with Lingfield and Wolverhampton contested on all-weather surfaces while Chepstow runs on turf.
Going conditions vary across the trio too. At The Races reports Lingfield as standard on the all-weather, Wolverhampton as standard on Tapeta, and Chepstow as good to firm on the turf. Racing TV separately lists Chepstow's going as good to firm for the meeting.
3.15 Chepstow - Grove Street and Avionics set to duel
Two promising juveniles, Grove Street and Avionics, go head-to-head in the Bailey Family Investments / EBF Maiden Stakes.
Grove Street, trained by Brian Meehan, impressed on his debut when just touched off by Quest For Stars at Sandown last month. That form has since worked out well, as Quest For Stars went on to land a strong renewal of the Stonehenge Stakes, while the fourth-placed horse, King High, later picked up a solid novice event at Newbury.
On that evidence, Grove Street looks the one to beat, though Avionics could make him work for it. Andrew Balding's colt showed real progress with a pleasing run at Salisbury, only to underwhelm at Ffos Las - a run where he was clearly too keen for his own good. If he can settle better this time, further improvement should follow.
La Bassette, a daughter of Wootton Bassett, was handled patiently in a competitive contest at Glorious Goodwood and still looks capable of significant improvement. Elsewhere in the field, George Boughey's unraced Talamon - a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Fev Rover - could catch the eye on debut if he's fit to fire.
Racing TV's meeting schedule confirms the Bailey Family Investments / EBF Maiden Stakes is set to go off at 14:45, as part of a six-race Chepstow card that runs from 14:15 through to 17:00. The opening race at 14:15, the Community Engagement Programme Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs for three-year-olds and upwards, carries a winner's prize of £3,454.00, according to Racing TV.
4.08 Lingfield - My Old Mate chases a hat-trick
In-form performer My Old Mate looks to complete a hat-trick in the Free Tips on attheraces.com Handicap.
Trained by Gary and Josh Moore, this horse has kicked on with every start since headgear was taken off, most recently landing back-to-back victories at Windsor with plenty in hand. Now carrying a penalty that raises his mark by 11lbs since those two wins, he still looks to have more up his sleeve than the handicapper credits him with, judging by how strongly he's been finishing. Claimer Jude Fernandes' 7lb allowance could be the difference-maker aboard a horse who clearly relishes this one-mile trip.

Henfield is the only other runner arriving in form, having recently squeezed home by a short margin at Lingfield, and looks the main danger to My Old Mate.
The least exposed runner in the field, Perfect Ruler, has the profile to record a career-best performance here, having been denied a fair opportunity to show his true form at Redcar in May when he ran into traffic problems in the closing stages.
6.30 Wolverhampton - Percy's Lad and Spaceman lead a competitive line-up
Percy's Lad and Spaceman are the headline acts in a hotly contested Visit Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk To Book Now Handicap.

Percy's Lad returned to the winner's enclosure last week by exploiting a favourable mark at Kempton, and looks capable of following up given he still sits just 5lbs above his career-low rating.
Spaceman remains the freshest horse in the field and produced a hugely impressive victory at Dunstall Park before a promising effort on his first start in handicap company. Representing the Fahey yard, he should continue to progress and looks set to be in the mix for victory.
Inside Story ran his best race to date when finishing a strong-finishing second over course and distance last time out, while Haadeer retains scope for further improvement this season after a respectable third-placed finish at Doncaster on his previous outing.
What happens next
Attention at Chepstow turns to the 14:45 Bailey Family Investments / EBF Maiden Stakes on 18 August 2026, according to Racing TV's published schedule for the meeting. Wolverhampton's evening card is likewise pencilled in for 18 August 2026 as an all-weather fixture under BHA scheduling, while Lingfield's afternoon all-weather card for the same date is confirmed on At The Races' racecards listing. BBC Sport's horse racing calendar also lists all three venues - Chepstow, Lingfield (AW) and Wolverhampton - for Tuesday 18 August, corroborating the shape of the day's action.
