Chepstow plays host to today's live action

Sky Sports Racing switches its cameras to Chepstow, Lingfield and Wolverhampton, promising fans a full afternoon and evening of live flat racing across three very different tracks.

According to Chepstow Racecourse, the Welsh venue stages a six-race card running from 14:15 through to 17:00 on going described as good-to-firm. The opening contest, per Racing TV, is the Trade Centre Group Maiden Fillies' Stakes over 5f 16y, which has attracted a field of 14 runners.

3.15 Chepstow - Grove Street and Avionics set to duel

The Bailey Family Investments / EBF Maiden Stakes brings together two exciting juveniles in Grove Street and Avionics, and punters will be watching closely to see which one comes out on top.

Brian Meehan's Grove Street impressed on his debut, going down only narrowly to Quest For Stars at Sandown last month. That form has since been franked in style, with Quest For Stars going on to land a strong renewal of the Stonehenge Stakes, while the fourth-placed King High followed up with a comfortable novice success at Newbury.

Given how that race has worked out, Grove Street looks the one to beat, though Avionics could push him close. Andrew Balding's colt showed real progress with a smart effort at Salisbury before a below-par run at Ffos Las, where he was plainly too keen for his own good. If he can learn to settle, there should be more improvement to come this afternoon.

La Bassette, a filly by Wootton Bassett, was handled patiently in a competitive contest at Glorious Goodwood and still looks capable of significant improvement. Elsewhere, George Boughey's unraced Talamon - a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Fev Rover - could make a big impression on debut if he is fit and ready to fire.

4.08 Lingfield - My Old Mate chases a hat-trick

My Old Mate, in fine form of late, bids to complete a hat-trick in the Free Tips on attheraces.com Handicap.

Trained by Gary and Josh Moore, the gelding has kicked on with every start since headgear was removed, most notably with a pair of easy victories back-to-back at Windsor. Carrying a penalty, he now races off a mark 11lbs higher than before those wins, yet the manner in which he has been finishing his races suggests he could still be ahead of the handicapper. Jude Fernandes takes the ride and her 7lb claim may prove crucial on a horse who clearly relishes this one-mile trip.

Henfield stands out as the main danger among the in-form runners, having recently got up by a short margin in a Lingfield contest. The least exposed runner in the field, Perfect Ruler, has the scope for a career-best display, having been given no chance to show his true form at Redcar in May after hitting trouble in the closing stages.

Per At The Races, Lingfield's Tuesday programme also features an Amateur Jockeys' Handicap at 14:30 along with two classified stakes contests later in the afternoon, with racing taking place on standard Polytrack, stalls positioned 1m out with the remainder set inside.

Lingfield has been a regular fixture on the Sky Sports Racing schedule this summer, with our earlier coverage of a competitive Wednesday card shared with Worcester featuring the likes of Hilltop, Kaori and Mojito, and Regal Renaissance bidding for a four-timer.

6.30 Wolverhampton - Percy's Lad and Spaceman headline strong field

Percy's Lad and Spaceman lead the way in a well-contested Visit Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk To Book Now Handicap.

Percy's Lad returned to form by taking advantage of a favourable mark at Kempton last week, and with his rating still just 5lbs above his career-low mark, he should remain competitive.

Spaceman, the freshest horse in the field, was hugely impressive when winning at Dunstall Park before a creditable effort on his first start in handicap company. Representing the Fahey stable, he looks capable of further progress and should be right in the mix for victory.

Inside Story ran a career-best race when finishing a close second over course and distance last time out, catching the eye with a strong finishing burst, while Haadeer retains potential to build on his solid third-placed finish at Doncaster and could take another step forward this season.

According to At The Races, Wolverhampton's Tuesday evening fixture gets under way at 17:30 with an EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes, followed by a handicap at 18:30. Racing takes place on the all-weather Tapeta surface, described as standard, with Racing Post noting light rain in the going and weather summary for the meeting.

Wider racing picture

The three British fixtures were not the only action on the card, with Racing Post's racecards showing that Roscommon was also in action on the same Tuesday, placing the UK meetings within a broader international flat-racing programme.

It continues a busy run of live coverage for Sky Sports Racing, which had already promoted action from Lingfield, Windsor and Wolverhampton the previous day, underlining a stretch of near-continuous evening and afternoon broadcasts across these venues.

What happens next

At Chepstow, racegoers can look forward to the 14:45 Maiden Fillies' Stakes immediately following the 14:15 curtain-raiser, according to Racing TV.

Over at Lingfield, the 14:30 opener is followed by a 15:00 restricted maiden fillies' stakes, as listed by At The Races.

And at Wolverhampton, the 17:30 EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes gives way to an 18:00 restricted novice stakes, completing an early sequence of races before the feature handicaps take centre stage later in the card.
